Governance

The University of Florida will modernize its administrative information systems and associated business processes utilizing Workday. These administrative systems enable mission-critical business processes to conduct the work of the University.

In order to provide guidance and oversight for the Empowering UF initiative, a governance structure has been established that is comprised of Executive Sponsors and a Project Implementation Team.

In addition, a network of Campus Advisory Committees and subject matter experts will join Empowering UF to provide guidance and input into the initiative. The Empowering UF governance structure is described below.

Executive Sponsors

The Empowering UF Executive Sponsors are charged with executive oversight of the initiative to provide strategic direction and organizational alignment.

Steering Committee

The Empowering UF Steering Committee acts on behalf of the Executive Sponsors to execute the project work. The steering committee ensures the successful execution of program goals and objectives by overseeing these critical functions:

  • Recommends policy and organizational change required for success
  • Administers the program plan, including a budget, contract, and schedule
  • Mobilizes resources to achieve deadlines and milestones
