I’m pleased to provide this quick update on our progress toward the official launch of the Empowering UF initiative. I like to compare the tasks done now to the prep work needed before painting a house. We’re taping the windows and doors, measuring our space and making lots of trips to Home Depot to make sure we have what we need before we start rolling on the paint. In our case, there are business processes to map, data to be reviewed and cleaned, and conversations to be had with our partners like you.
We’re committed to keeping you informed and engaged throughout this initiative — but we’ll keep these periodic updates brief and to the point. We know our success will depend on your support as well as our ability to evaluate and re-engineer our business processes to meet the ever-changing needs of our world class university. And we look forward to the challenges and rewards that lie ahead in this collaborative endeavor.
