Beyond simply implementing a new system, Empowering UF aims to build modern, intelligent and unified business processes that will promote an elevated experience for the next 20 years. Critical to this mission is accurately mapping our current business processes and ensuring our data are as clean and consistent as possible.
UFHR, UF Finance and Accounting, and UF Research are undertaking a thorough documentation of existing workflows at both the core office and departmental levels, noting effective practices and areas of concern, in anticipation of changes to come. This work is ongoing in partnership with departments and units throughout the UF community.
UFIT’s Modern Data and Analytics program is working to ensure an analytics-enabled environment for UF in the months and years ahead. The outcome of this work will include an infrastructure and common glossary for university data and governance, increasing access to and use of the newly implemented data hub, upgrading analytics and reporting toolsets, and much more.
