Meet Empowering UF Jenna Glendinning, Assistant Director of HR Strategy, Human Resources, UF College of Medicine

Jenna Glendinning and her fellow Change Agents in the College of Medicine (Gainesville) are connected with their communications team and using available channels, such as formal and informal faculty and staff meetings, to provide information about the project, its timeline and key milestones. They are champions for early learning and sharing resources.

As you become more familiar with Workday, what interests you the most about its benefits for our staff?
From what I’ve heard and seen about Workday, there are so many benefits. A lot of our current manual processes and touchpoints seem to be streamlined with Workday and will make so many things easier and quicker.

A lot of our areas have “shadow systems” that are necessary to gather additional information that PeopleSoft doesn’t currently hold. With Workday, it seems to be a more comprehensive system that will allow us to move away from several systems and utilize everything under one system. Very exciting!

How will you help your colleagues prepare for Workday?

We are getting our college excited by speaking about Workday and familiarizing them with the positive benefits it offers. Sharing these updates in faculty and staff meetings and larger groups involving different areas/departments/divisions is our way of ensuring everyone knows what is coming. As we get more information, we continue to inform these areas to ensure transparency and to get everyone excited for the transition.
