UF faculty and staff have contributed to each phase of the Empowering UF project. Leaders and subject-matter experts representing all of UF’s colleges, administrative units and component units have shared their thoughts and recommendations about our university’s finance, research, human resources, payroll and administrative systems and processes. In 2025, representatives throughout UF participated in discovery and design sessions, and many more will continue serving on advisory teams to help guide the implementation of Workday for UF. The Empowering UF team also visits colleges and units to share customized outreach sessions.
Here are some examples of recent outreach activities as of September 2025:
✅Hosted 42 Discovery Sessions (about 50 participants in each)
✅Hosted 84 Design Sessions (about 50 participants in each)
✅Recruited and onboarded 100+ Change Agents from 58 programs/units
✅Delivered 40+ presentations to share Empowering UF transition plans
The Empowering UF Change Agent Network comprises a community of UF employees selected to represent units and colleges and champion the university’s transition to Workday in July 2027. Change Agents will help foster communication, increase awareness, solicit feedback, provide support, build readiness and drive buy-in among their colleagues.
College and unit leaders nominated individuals to represent their area in the Change Agent Network. Please click on the link below to review the list and reach out to your contact with your ideas and questions.
The Change Agents met in person in June 2025 for orientation and heard from Empowering UF leaders and the Organizational Change Management Team, who will help guide their efforts. The Change Agent Network meets quarterly, is provided with a toolkit and resources, receives a monthly newsletter (“In the Loop”) and will be supported at every step. Their goals are to do the following:
In an ongoing effort to inform and engage faculty and staff, Empowering UF leaders have presented at more than 40 meetings. From the UF Board of Trustees, Faculty Senate, and Gator Business Administrator Services meetings to roundtables, roadshows and forums, we are sharing the project’s vision, scope, goals and milestones.
