The University of Florida introduced Workday Adaptive Planning in 2022 to support improvements in the university’s budgeting processes. In the summer of 2027, we will re-implement Adaptive Planning, extending its capabilities thanks to new functionality that will be made possible by the broader Workday implementation.
In early 2024, UF conducted a Budget Needs Assessment to understand budget officers’ key needs and to begin to define the re-implementation scope and timeline. In the spring of 2026, representative members of this group were invited to join design sessions to help inform Adaptive Planning’s configuration for UF.
All UF budget officers will be invited to explore this more comprehensive version of Adaptive Planning beginning in the fall of 2027. As financial systems are consolidated within Workday, colleges and units will have access to a more complete financial picture and thereby be in a better position to capitalize on Workday’s data-driven insights to make more informed and timely decisions.
